One For The Teens – 2020’s Most Viral TikToks [Videos]

You might be surprised to learn that very few TikTok videos of people dancing around, or doing challenges, made it into the top 10.

Despite my best efforts, I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that TikTok is a part of social media culture now, and therefore unavoidable.

I won’t, however, be creating an account anytime soon.

Back in the day, if you were captured on camera dancing around your living room, it was usually done without your knowledge and after a good few shots of tequila.

That video would then come back to haunt you, courtesy of a traitorous friend, the following morning while you nursed a hangover of epic proportions.

TikTok is something else entirely, with millions of users, and videos of folks breaking it down, that go viral in a very big way.

One user, doing just that, has managed to rack up 100 million subscribers.

Until now, I hadn’t really seen anything that I’d voluntarily watch, but some of the TikToks on BuzzFeed’s list of 2020’s most viral TikToks are actually pretty cool.

Especially this one, coming in at number 10, of a man dancing with his duck.

It’s the first one in the compilation.

10. @HartYT – Dancing with my duck

So, BuzzFeed calls it a goose, but Hunter Clay, the creator of the above, calls it a duck, and its name is Lauren.

9. @JulianBass – Special effects

Julian Bass cut together this very impressive edit of himself turning into different heroes.

8. @iamtabithabrown – Making carrot bacon

For the vegans out there missing bacon, Tabitha Brown has some tips.

7. @lizemopetey – Dinosaurs killed by a meteor

Lize Mopetey has some theories about why the dinosaurs went extinct.

6. @awa_de_horchata_uwu – Mi pan su su sum

The song is annoying but it went viral.

5. @willsmith – Wipe it down

Will Smith does the ‘Wipe it Down’ challenge.

4. @nba – Renegade dance creator performs at NBA

Jalaiah Harmon, who created the ‘Renegade Dance Challenge’ in 2019, brought it back at a basketball game.

3. @itscaitlinhello – Zoom co-worker

Caitlyn Reilly does impressions of the people that we love to hate.

2. @420doggface – Fleetwood Mac

This guy launched Fleetwood Mac back into the charts.

1. @bellapoarch – M to the B

I don’t know what this is, or why people watched it.

I will go to my grave arguing that Lauren the duck/goose at number 10 should have taken the top spot.
