Police are on the scene at the Cape Town Station Deck taxi rank, following a shooting that took place just before noon today.
Multiple people have been shot, with unconfirmed accounts putting the number at between seven and nine.
The incident is suspected to be a result of taxi violence, but investigations are still underway.
Per TimesLIVE, one suspect was apprehended with a firearm, while EWN reports that armed law enforcement is searching nearby taxis parked further down from where the shooting took place.
