A good thunderstorm, whilst safely tucked up inside one’s home, is always a sight to behold.
Here’s an HD video for the monsoon purists out there, if you’re really looking to ways to mentally escape your desk this Monday.
Then you get dust storms, which can best be described as apocalyptic, although we’re used to seeing those take place Down Under, rather than in our own backyard.
On Saturday, storm clouds swept through Upington, in the Northern Cape, bringing with them a wall of dust that was captured on video.

I’d find it pretty daunting if that storm was bearing down on my town.
Upington is still standing, and residents have an excellent story to tell.
