Sorry, people who believe Joe Biden won the US election.
This morning, Donald Trump tweeted that he won.
He did so in all caps, as well, so that must mean it’s legit.
That’s how elections work, right?
I WON THE ELECTION!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 16, 2020
“Official sources called this election differently” is a really nice way of saying the incumbent president has completely lost touch with reality.
In courtrooms across the country, it was another damaging weekend for the Trump campaign, with numerous court cases ending in embarrassing losses.
The president himself has said the big guns are still to be rolled out, though, and he has Rudy Giuliani heading that charge. What could possibly go wrong?
Even on Fox News, which has at times both rubbished Trump’s claims of election fraud, and helped spread falsehoods into millions of American homes (the network anchors, for once, aren’t singing from the same hymn sheet), there have been some embarrassing moments.
Over the weekend, things between Fox News’ Leland Vittert and Trump 2020 press communications director Erin Perrine turned rather sour, rather quickly.
From the 1:50 mark, it really starts descending into farcical territory:
Expect the relationship between the president and the network to worsen, as the walls close in and January 20 edges closer.
This past weekend, when Trump supporters gathered in Washington DC to protest his election loss, this happened:
