As election day coverage turned into election week coverage, it was hard not to feel sorry for the anchors and presenters that seemed to go days without sleep.
Tapping away at the touch screen, zooming in on counties that went from relatively obscure to international fame in a matter of days, and sending everyone’s heartrates soaring every time 18 votes came in from Maricopa County.
Before we go any further, the CNN Pornhub video was fake, guys. If you were duped, eish.
What is 100% real is this pretty epic on-air gaffe by NBC News correspondent Ken Dilanian, during a segment with MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin yesterday.
Melvin was in the process of handing over to Dilanian when a, um, technical glitch caused this reaction.
There are swearwords, but you’re watching this at home in your pyjamas so I’m sure you’re good.
A little later in the broadcast, Melvin again cut to Dilanian for an apology. You can see both videos below:
Moments later, Ken Dilanian is brought back on to deliver his report and he addresses his blunder.
“I want to sincerely apologize to viewers who may have heard me use profanity at the top of the last hit.” pic.twitter.com/9s1LiWzt8U

Man, it’s 2020. Who among us hasn’t cursed out the world? We get it.
While we’re here, let’s also take a quick look at another viral on-air moment, this time from Saturday, when a shirtless man interrupted Maxime Switek, a journalist from French news station BFM TV, during a broadcast:
So this just happened on french tv 😭😭😭 #bidenharis2020 pic.twitter.com/lAy67hkDEV

Switek took it well, saying later that he found it hilarious.
Nobody was harmed, and the viral clip brought joy to millions.
