Lion Hunts Don’t Come More Up Close And Personal Than This [Video]

Guests on a game drive in the Pilanesberg National Park were treated to a front-row seat, as a pride of lion went after a buffalo.

For those of us who are missing the bush, Latest Sightings is about as good as it gets.

After all, how many years must you spend in the Kruger before you see a leopard robbed of its kill by a pack of wild dogs, who are then run off by some marauding hyenas?

A lifetime, and even then there are no guarantees.

The same can be said for the footage captured by 39-year-old Jennifer Coleman and 32-year-old Liechen Tonki, whilst staying at Ivory Tree Lodge in the Pilanesberg.

They were on two different safari vehicles when a pride of lions began hunting a buffalo, according to Latest Sightings, and both managed to capture footage of what happened next.

You can read their eyewitness accounts in full here, but the video tells its own story:

The buffalo appears to have lived to fight another day.

I guess we should soldier on too, then.
