It’s that time of the year again.
Yes, I can confirm that I saw Christmas decorations hanging in at least two retail outlets this past weekend.
Thankfully, the carols haven’t yet started playing incessantly in the background, but it’s only a matter of time until ‘Jingle Bells’ follows you around from store to store.
As you pause by the entrance, to once again spray sanitiser on your parched hands, you can actually feel your Christmas spirit dissipate into thin air.
Or maybe that’s just me. I’ve been known to become rather Grinch-like as the commercial wheels kick into overdrive.
I don’t know what you intend to stick under the tree this year, but if it’s an Apple device of any sort, the first thing you should be doing is digging around in your drawers for your older devices.
The iPhone 12 was launched earlier this month (four separate models and all), and when it becomes available for purchase in South Africa, I’m sure it’s going to prove very popular.
The reviews thus far have certainly been stellar.
My bedside table happens to have an iPhone 4S (those were the days), as well as an iPhone 6S, both gathering dust.
I’ve left them there in case something happens to my current iPhone, but then I also pay insurance every month which covers my phone, so what am I actually keeping those older models for?
Stop that, it’s silly. Here’s a pretty simple solution.
Digicape, South Africa’s largest independent Apple retailer, allows you to trade in up to five devices, and you can even get a quote online before you haul them into a store.
iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch or Apple TV products all qualify, and getting a quote is as simple as filling in the form below:
If you’re happy with the quote, you can bring the devices into a Digicape store, where a physical inspection will be completed and a final trade-in offer presented.
That can be used for store credit for a later purchase, or used as a discount on a new device right away.
Just like that, you’re feeling the holiday spirit again.
You could use that discount to buy someone special their Christmas present, or you could go right ahead and treat yourself to a nice new toy.
2020 has been a stinker – you’ve earned it.
