Sadly, I did not win last night’s PowerBall jackpot, which has now rolled over to R41 million for Friday’s draw.

If I did, rest assured that you would never hear from me again, which I’m sure you’d consider a win-win for all involved.

For those interested in buying tickets, make sure you stump up the extra Randelas for the PowerBall Plus draw, which should be around R79 million.

Anyway, before the crushing realisation of another unsuccessful ticket purchase set in, I had a look around at what R40-odd million might get me, and found this fetching home in Constantia Upper.

You have to stress the ‘Upper’ part every time you mention where you live, to let everyone know that you don’t live amongst the dregs of the rest of Constantia.

The Pam Golding listing for the five-bedroom house sets the selling price at R42 million, but I reckon you could wangle it down under the R40 million mark due to the “motivated seller”.
