The writer of Big Little Lies, David E Kelley, sure knows how to produce content capable of pulling together a Hollywood cast that most series producers would kill for.
Following the success of his last venture, he and Nicole Kidman have returned to bring you a six-part series, directed by Susan Bier.
She’s behind The Night Manager which was nominated for 36 awards and won 11, including two Emmys.
It looks like we have another winner in The Undoing, which the BBC is calling “endlessly entertaining even though it includes a bludgeoned murder victim”.
That escalated quickly, not unlike the plot which is apparently gripping and doesn’t lag.
The cast includes Nicole Kidman who plays Grace, a therapist treating couples, whose profession instantly raises some “doctor, heal thyself’ warnings”.
Hugh Grant plays her husband, ” a paediatric oncologist, which puts him close to saintliness”. Donald Sutherland even makes an appearance as Grace’s ultra-rich father.
When a school benefit for Grace’s son goes horribly wrong, ending in a murder and Jonathan’s disappearance, things really kick off.

The Undoing premieres on October 25 on HBO.
