The sad fact is that across the world, there are countless unsolved crimes, and criminals walking free.
Most will never be solved, but those that feature on Unsolved Mysteries stand a decent enough chance of, at the very least, having new light shed upon what may have happened.
The long-running show, which first aired in 1987, has helped crack an estimated 260 cases, and the Netflix reboot, which arrived back in late June, saw an influx of tips flooding law enforcement phone lines.
Now the trailer for the second season has arrived, or Volume 2, as it’s been dubbed, and there are six further cases on the table.
Over to Mashable:
The new episodes tackle the strange events leading up to the murder of a former White House aide; the secret identity of a woman who was shot in her hotel room; the escape of a convicted killer on death row; the spirits that haunted Japan after a massive tsunami; the unexplainable lake drowning of a woman in a small town; and the disappearance of two toddlers from a New York City park.
Observe:
October 19 is the date to mark down for this one.
According to Collider, the episodes focused on the murder of a former White House aide, along with the hotel death, are particularly troubling.
If you’re after a true-crime doccie that does reach a conclusion, American Murder: The Family Next Door is also worth a watch.
