As soon as the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was announced, you just knew the final few weeks leading up the US election were going to become even nastier.
Name-calling is one thing, but Ginsburg’s death has now opened up a chance for Republicans to appoint another conservative – Amy Coney Barrett – which would alter the Supreme Court’s political leanings for a generation.
The Affordable Care Act (or Obamacare) and the landmark Roe versus Wade ruling on abortion are immediate concerns for many Americans, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
