A month back, we wrote about how excited we were for My Octopus Teacher.
Back then, like everyone else, we only had the trailer to go on, but thankfully the Netflix doccie delivered the goods.
Our resident movie critic, SPL!NG, was equally as impressed, scoring it a near-perfect nine in his review.
Across the country, and around the world, people have begun to question their calamari-eating habits, even though that’s actually squid, but more power to you if you have the patience to point that out.
We would usually start a Monday morning with a news story, almost certainly depressing, as they tend to be, but let’s rather kick this four-day workweek off with a superb spoof, My Kreepy Teacher.
This one was written and directed by Glen Biderman-Pam, with Mike Sharman as the ECD, cinematography by Michael Carter, and editing by Declan Manca.
You’ve seen the extraordinary bond between a man and an octopus, now bear witness to the bond between a man and a Kreepy Krauly:
Sjoe, the self-restraint there to not intervene as the Krauley ‘does that sucking thing’ up the side of the pool. Gut-wrenching stuff.
We will excuse the excessive wearing of a Speedo in light of the quality humour, and also as a sign of respect to Faf ‘the budgie smuggler’ de Klerk’s Rugby World Cup heroics.
May this week be a good one, both in and out of the pool.
