The slightest hint of drama will set them off, and then it’s time to pull out the body language ‘experts’ and deep dives into the minutiae of a social media post.

If there isn’t drama to draw on then they will manufacture it themselves, and that’s what today’s look at Brad Pitt and Nicole Poturalski’s relationship, with some Angelina Jolie thrown into the mix, is all about.

The Daily Mail was snooping around on Nicole’s Instagram account after reports alleging tension between Brad and Angelina (again…this happens often), and that they were no longer meeting up for family therapy.

That’s usually a sign that things have been worked out to the point where therapy is no longer necessary, but we’re dealing, as I said, with tabloids here, so there’s obviously a massive crisis to unpack in a lengthy article.

Sarcasm might be the lowest form of wit, but it applies here.

If you have no idea why the above is an alleged “burn”, I’ll tap out and let The Daily Mail explain:

In Nicole’s stunning Instagram snap, shared to her 210K followers, the model showcased her svelte frame in a figure-hugging orange mini dress with ruched detailing.

Styling her caramel locks into a sleek straightened hairdo, she finished her ensemble with a pair of 90s-style brown sunglasses and a beige handbag.

Can we get to the point, please?

Oh wait, the only reference to the fact that this could have anything to do with the fact that Brad and Angelina are back in court in October to resume their custody battle over the kids is the opening line:

Brad Pitt’s girlfriend Nicole Poturalski, 27, shares cryptic quote amid claims ‘tensions have escalated’ with the actor and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

So in answer to the question proposed in the headline, if we boil it down, who cares?
