Sorry, but this story probably isn’t as scandalous as you were hoping it would be.
By now you know that Brad Pitt is dating Nicole Poturalski, despite the couple’s best attempts to keep their relationship to themselves.
Celebs are tabloid fodder, so it wasn’t going to stay a secret forever.
Now that it’s out, everyone is digging for more information, and if that information gets a rise out of conservative readers, even better.
So, here goes…
The Daily Mail started their “salacious” coverage with a sad story about Brad Pitt walking across a road without his girlfriend, which includes a surprisingly detailed description of his umbrella.
We’re going to skip over that part and get to the point.
The road-crossing “comes after it was revealed” that “Nicole is married and that her husband is reportedly ‘not interested’ in being ‘jealous’ about her extra-marital dalliance with the hunky actor”.
I have no idea what the two things have in common.
Nicole’s husband, Roland Mary (below), a 68-year-old restaurateur who owns the Borchardt in Berlin, is said to have been married to her for eight years. If you do the math, that means that she was 19 when they tied the knot.
Cool.
A friend reportedly said: ‘Roland is a very philosophical guy. He has been married several times and has five children. He is not interested in negativity or jealousy.
‘They are still married, but you could describe their relationship as an open marriage.’
Brad and Nicole reportedly met at Roland’s restaurant.
For those of you who are behind the times, ethical non-monogamy, or ‘open relationships’, are becoming more and more commonplace as people rethink social norms and explore alternative relationship styles.
To put it in simple terms, couples who decide to practice ethical non-monogamy are allowed to have sex with other people.
At the same time, Roland and Nicole’s relationship could be polyamorous, where people have multiple emotional and physical relationships at once.
In short, three consenting adults have entered into relationships that they’re all happy with.
I told you that this wasn’t scandalous.
