Apple is one of the world’s most recognisable brands and recently became the first US company to reach $2 trillion in value.
The company’s Cupertino, California campus, known as Apple Park, is the stuff of legend, and any new buildings bearing the logo also need to be up to scratch.
Apple’s newest retail location, Apple Marina Bay Sands, is located in Singapore, and whilst the shop is not yet open to the public, the futuristic design has already attracted much media attention.
It can also lay claim to being the only Apple shop on the planet that floats on water.
Below via The Verge:
During the daytime, the new Marina Bay Sands store appears to look like an odd spacecraft of some sort or perhaps some form of futuristic theater.
But at nighttime, when Singapore’s iconic skyline is lit in all its glory in the background, the store really comes alive and you can tell the company clearly designed it as an evening fixture best viewed in the dark.
Dim the lights, and the store comes alive:
The rumours are indeed true! Apple Marina Bay Sands, the first Apple store in the world that floats on the water, is opening soon in Singapore.#AppleMarinaBaySands #Singapore #SingapoRediscovers #cityscape #architecture @Apple @marinabaysands @AP_Magazine @GettyImages pic.twitter.com/Awbgzo2qtO

According to 9to5Mac, “an elevated boardwalk and underwater passage connect the pavilion to the shore and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands”, with the nighttime glow “evoking the design of traditional lanterns carried during Singapore’s Mid-Autumn Festival”.
Most importantly, the store will still offer the high level of customer service that Apple fans have come to expect around the world.
Closer to home, Apple fans can always swing past Digicape to get the latest gadgets and chat with the experts.
Alternatively, and I prefer this option as it involves remaining at home, you could also make use of Digicape’s Virtual Shopping Assistant.
Futuristic, ek se.
