I was up most of last night worrying about all the people out there with a few hundred thousand lying around and nothing to spend it on.
Shem.
It’s tough when you’re flush.
It’s even worse when you have that spare cash, but not enough to afford a status car like the Bentley limited-edition Mulliner Bacalar.
Luckily for you, there are a couple of high-end used cars out there to fill the void, and a retro Bentley is a great way to show the world that you know your stuff, but also don’t want to be too flashy about it.
Over to Cars.co.za where there’s a listing for a pristine 1987 Bentley Turbo R Sedan for sale in Gauteng, which is going for R399 999.
Let’s call it an even R400 000.
According to that listing, this high-performance luxury sedan is in “absolutely stunning condition”.
Engineered for better road handling and having inherited the turbo from the Mulsanne turbo (it’s loaded with enough power to match).
An amazing list of extras include electric windows, full leather seats, electric front seats, power steering [and an] air conditioner.
It’s enjoyable old school styling coupled with new school engineering will leave you speechless. Must be seen.
You heard it here first, folks. It must be seen.
A breakdown of the specs for you to look at until you can get down to the showroom:
You might call it a car for the discerning hipster.
Joking aside, if you’re a respectable vintage car collector, this is a pretty sweet deal.
If Bentley isn’t your thing, this 2007 Aston Martin Vantage V8 Vantage roadster N430 might be more your speed.
Either way, I’ll sleep easy tonight knowing that you’ve offloaded that excess cash.
