Sigh.
A couple in America recently purchased a family home in Santa Barbara where they plan on living with their son.
If the couple weren’t the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, nobody would care.
The Daily Mail cares, though, and their readers do, too.
So much so that the tabloid has persisted in obtaining and printing aerial shots of the couple’s new home despite the lawsuit that’s currently levied against them.
It’s alleged that they used a drone to capture pictures of Archie in the backyard of the Los Angeles mansion that the couple have been living in for the last while.
Even though they took screenshots of it from Google Maps this time around, it’s not a good look.
They were also apparently the first to locate the Santa Barbara mansion, and the first to figure out how much the royals paid for the property.
You came this far, so we might as well look at what they found.
Santa Barbara property documents show the sprawling nine-bedroom and 16-bathroom mansion in upscale Montecito was bought on June 18 for an eye-watering $14,650,000.
The 14,563-square-foot home sits on 5.4 acres of land and immaculately clipped hedges border the estate’s stone-pillared entry gates.
Everyone knows that immaculately clipped hedges are what you need to look out for when buying property, so they obviously know what they’re doing.
The entrance to the property opens onto a long tree-lined driveway that leads up to the front of the house as driveways are prone to do:
Inside the house, you’ll find a library, office, spa with a separate dry and wet sauna, gym, game room, arcade, theatre, wine cellar and five-car garage.
Piers Morgan is probably taking note of all the things that he can complain about in his next column.
Here are some predictions:
Hedge your bets.
Back to the house.
The couple’s new neighbours include Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres, but they might want to hold off on sending a muffin basket over to Ellen’s place until the accusations that she’s a horrible person subside a little.
And, there you have it.
If you want to see more of the property, the paparazzi are no doubt finding a comfortable spot in those immaculately clipped hedges, so it’s only a matter of time.
