Jeffrey Epstein is dead, Ghislaine Maxwell is in jail, and you’d hope that Prince Andrew isn’t sleeping very well at night.
As it stands, only some of the Ghislaine Maxwell documents have been unsealed, with her legal team hard at work to prevent what you would imagine would be damning nude photographs and “sexualised video” evidence.
One of Maxwell’s accusers, Virginia Roberts Giuffre (also referred to as Virginia Giuffre), is certainly enjoying watching this unfold, and I’m sure she’ll be happy to know that another witness has now come forward to corroborate her allegations regarding the Duke.
In particular, the night of March 10, 2001, is important, as Giuffre, then 17, alleges that after partying with the Duke at a Mayfair club, the first of the three times she was forced to have sex with Andrew took place.
The Duke has denied the claims, claiming in a trainwreck BBC interview that he was at home that night, after visiting the Pizza Express restaurant in Woking with daughter Beatrice.
You may recall the reviews for said Pizza Express in the days that followed.
Below from the Guardian:
The US lawyer Lisa Bloom, who is representing the victims of the royal’s former friend and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, said Shukri Walker recalled seeing Prince Andrew at Tramp nightclub in Mayfair and had come forward to support Virginia Giuffre’s version of events.
…Bloom said Walker recalled seeing Andrew at the club with Giuffre, then called Virginia Roberts, and Epstein’s girlfriend, Maxwell.
“My client says she was there and she remembers the night clearly because she never saw a royal before or since,” Bloom confirmed to the Guardian via email. “She says Prince Andrew was happy, smiling and dancing, and Virginia did not look happy. My client was a trafficking victim herself and wants everyone to know that sex trafficking is real, ongoing and devastating.”
Walker added that she remembered the encounter with particular clarity because she accidentally stood on Andrew’s foot while dancing, and was driven to come forward by his ongoing, public denial of the events of that night.
The details of Walker’s claims have now been handed over to the FBI (although they may end up not using it), with prosecutors in the US saying he remains uncooperative.
