Today, in ‘things we don’t care about but oddly enough, other people do’, we’ll be looking at Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s new £20 million mansion in Cheshire.
For matters such as these, we must head to the Daily Mail, which, in addition to providing snaps of the mansion, adds that “the steely-faced footballer is seen stepping out amid WAG-war update”.
In case that combination of words confuses you, remember that Coleen and Rebekah Vardy, wife of the English Premier League’s top scorer Jamie, had a falling out late last year.
OK, let’s see some snaps:
Work on the huge six-bedroom country house and 40-acre estate in Knutsford, Cheshire stopped in April due to concerns around building supply deliveries as lockdown restrictions came into full force.
The site which has already taken three years to build, has been widely mocked for looking like an out-of-town Morrisons supermarket.
The land features a football pitch and man-made fishing lake and the home will have its own orangery, snooker room with bar, cinema and swimming pool when construction is finished.
An “out-of-town Morrisons supermarket”? If that mansion above resembles an English countryside supermarket, they really do live the good life out there.
In addition to the trimmings listed above, the mansion will also have a state-of-the-art security system installed, an underground tunnel, and a bunker where he will keep a getaway electric car.
You can never be too safe.
If you’re prone to believing what The Sun reports, the bunker will have CCTV, as well as a kitchen and a toilet for a guard and a secure pick-up area.
One more picture, and then we move on:
You’ll find more snaps, as well as a list of the problems that have arisen with the development of the property thus far, on the Daily Mail.
There is also an update on the “WAG-war”, for those who feel like punishing themselves.
