What is there to say about Kim and Kanye West?
If I had my way, we wouldn’t say anything.
He’s not my favourite human being, and I have very little time for his wife and the pointless, albeit popular for some reason, reality show that made it okay to be famous because…
I can’t definitively say why it was a hit. It boggles the mind.
But, you’re here, it’s Friday, and I’m keen to get to the weekend, so let’s unpack why people are starting to list the odds on Kim Kardashian’s next husband.
It all started with Kanye and his supposed attempts to throw his hat into the ring in the upcoming US presidential elections.
I’ll let Forbes explain:
Kanye West’s Fourth of July declaration, via Tweet, that he was running for president lit the internet on fire, even as pundits were trying to discern how serious he was.
Over the course of four rambling hours of interviews on Tuesday, the billionaire rapper turned sneaker mogul revealed that he’s running for president in 2020 under a new banner—the Birthday Party—with guidance from Elon Musk and an obscure vice presidential candidate he’s already chosen.
“Like anything I’ve ever done in my life,” says West, “I’m doing to win.”
Sure.
That, alongside a series of unhinged tweets, was the beginning of the drama, but that aspect of it seems to have fallen by the wayside for now.
Kanye is struggling with some mental health issues, and according to LISTWIRE, trouble is brewing in his marriage.
Naturally, it’s evolving into a fiasco.
Vegas is never one to miss an opportunity to post odds on anything. With trouble surfacing in the West-Kim Kardashian marriage, linemaker Dave Mason has come up with future bets on who would be the pop culture icon’s next husband … if there is to be one.
Sigh.
Here are some of the contenders:
James Harden
Houston Rockets guard checks in as the chalk. The oddsmaker has James Harden at 8-1. Don’t forget, Kim Kardashian already had bad luck with one NBA player, Kris Humphries.
Paul George
One of the stars in Los Angeles is the Clippers’ Paul George. He comes in behind another former Oklahoma City Thunder player, Harden. George is listed at 9-1.
Reggie Bush
Former USC and NFL star Reggie Bush currently works for FOX Sports and is based in Los Angeles. That’s a plus. They dated in the past, a long time ago. Bush is a 9-1 shot on the board.
Drake
Finally, a musical mastermind like current husband Kanye West. Drake is a pop culture icon, too, and he is at 10-1. If anyone in music does become the next husband, imagine the songwriting possibilities.
Tiger Woods
Dave Mason admits to the rest being long shots. Why not one of the most eligible players who has had a thing for the ladies? The odds on Tiger Woods? How about 200-1. You would never get that price on Woods in any golf tournament.
If you want to hedge your bets, you can check out the rest of the men marked as potential future members of the Kardashian family, here.
Or you can do literally anything else.
