If private jets could talk, you’d imagine the 2008 Gulfstream G550 that has just been listed on Florida-based aircraft sales firm Equus Global Aviation’s website would have some stories.
That’s because the jet is reported to have belonged to Jeffrey Epstein, and as flight logs have shown in the past, there were some high-profile figures on board.
It’s important to note that the 2008 Gulfstream G550 is not the jet dubbed the ‘Lolita Express’, but is one of at least three private jets that Epstein has owned: the Boeing 727 (which was the ‘Lolita Express’), a Gulfstream IV, and the G550 now listed for sale.
More from the New York Post:
The listing says that the plane can hold 16 passengers, adding that the interior was overhauled and the exterior was repainted in 2018. It also says that the G550 has spent 5,747 hours in the air.
..the tail number of the jet, N212JE, leads to a company established in the US Virgin Islands linked to Epstein…
The plane first came into Epstein’s possession in 2013 when one of his companies purchased it before it was transferred in 2018 to another of his businesses, US Virgin Islands company Plan D, records from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) show, according to the report.
The listing comes with a few interior shots:
At this stage, it is not known who was on each trip the jet took, as passenger logs are not public record.
The sale of the jet could be seen as a step taken to raise money to settle the multitude of lawsuits currently brought against Epstein’s estate, as well as funding the victims’ compensation fund.
If you’re after a look inside the ‘Lolita Express, skip ahead to the 50-second mark of this Daily Mail video:
Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has detailed the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, spoke about what really happened on Esptein’s private jets in this 60 Minutes clip from last year:
Although Epstein will never have to face up to his crimes in court, we can only hope that Maxwell is put through the wringer, and ends up divulging the names of all the powerful people who participated in the decades-long sex trafficking abuses.
