In terms of action movies, what can you really do after Die Hard?
Well, Hard Kill, it seems, which is the title of Bruce Willis’ return to the genre, slated for release in US theatres and on-demand on August 28.
This is not to be confused with Hard to Kill, the 1990 action movie starring Steven Seagal that is, to be kind, not worth watching.
If you watch this trailer below and get some Extraction vibes (Netflix’s most popular movie of all time, by the way), that’s because Joe Russo, who wrote Extraction, has co-written Hard Kill‘s script with Chris Lamont
More from Collider:
When billionaire tech CEO Donovan Chalmers (Bruce Willis) hires a team of mercenaries to protect a lethal piece of technology, security expert and team leader Derek Miller (Jesse Metcalfe) finds himself in a deadly showdown with an old enemy.
The mission becomes even higher risk when Chalmers’ daughter is kidnapped by a terrorist group who will stop at nothing to obtain the tech. Miller and his team must race against the clock to save her and protect the fate of the human race before it’s too late.
That sounds very much like an action-thriller, thanks. Also, pretty surprising that Jesse Metcalfe is still a thing.
Trailer time:
The final 10 seconds are peak Bruce Willis, right?
