Test cricket has returned with a bang, with the first test between England and the West Indies culminating in a superb West Indian victory over a Ben Stokes-led England.
Even as the Windies edged closer to their fourth-innings chase of 200, you never felt comfortable, which I guess is a tribute to Stokes himself, who has made a habit of plucking victories from thin air in recent years.
It was not to be for the ginger skipper, and it was also a rather unfortunate test match for Michael Atherton, who fell victim to a social media prank live on air, much to the delight of his fellow commentators.
Club cricket was once again allowed from Saturday in the UK, and Athers, along with Rob Key, were encouraging Twitter users to submit some of the standout performances to be read out on air.
Enter this chap, who was clearly taking the Mickey:
There are many red flags to this – ‘Hugh Jardon’, as in ‘huge hard-on’, Cockermouth Cricket Club (speaks for itself), and the fact that he took 6 for 9 (a 69 sexual innuendo) – but Athers was duped, which led to this:

The laughter in the commentary box came from all angles, and Rob Key didn’t hold back:

Fair play to Athers, who was notorious for being a grump during his playing days, for having a chuckle at his own expense.
More importantly, fair play to the West Indies for taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match test series, because beating the English in their own backyard takes some doing.
