Picking a fight with a stranger is ill-advised at the best of times, but you can consider yourself pretty unlucky when you end up throwing down with a professional UFC fighter.
That’s exactly what happened at a Texas restaurant and bar on Tuesday night, with welterweight fighter Mike Perry alleged to have punched at least one man, along with hurling racial slurs.
Perry was being ejected from the premises when he struck an older man after calling him “a fat piece of shit”.
UFC fighters decking old men seems to in vogue these days, with Conor McGregor having started the trend last year.
Quite incredibly, ESPN reports that Perry “has been known to use the N-word, but the UFC has never announced discipline for Perry’s language”.
Something tells me we won’t see fighters taking a knee to show that Black Lives Matter any time soon.
In the aftermath of the skirmish, Perry could be heard shouting several racial slurs…
Officers from the Lubbock Police Department responded to the scene, a law enforcement spokesperson told ESPN. An incident report was filed, but Perry was not arrested, and no charges were filed. An investigation is pending, the spokesperson said.
As the video began to circulate, Perry offered this simple response:

His last tweets prior to that read “Please try me. I promise I will baptize you in the name of street Jesus!”, along with “If you see us in public and you get too close, I’m gonna hit you. Social distancing says you gotta stay 6 feet away from us. You come in my bubble you getting Sparta kicked in the nuts and fuckin stone cold stunnered bitch!”
OK, one more for the road:
I hope judgement day is coming. I hope all you filthy mouth losers burn in the shithole sewers of hell. All you will see, smell & hear is nightmares of vomit and feces drowning you for eternity. Your life sucks so you hate on beauty you will never have but it will only get worse

He seems nice.
Here’s the video in question:
If that doesn’t work, you can watch the footage here.
At least Perry’s consistent, having spent six months in jail for a probation violation on a burglary chargeback in 2014, which he violated with a battery arrest.
Oh, and he also pleaded no contest to a battery charge in 2013 in Florida.
Methinks he may have some anger issues to work through, and maybe the UFC wants to look into his regular use of the N-word, too.
