Meghan, Harry, I’m begging you…
Please do something interesting, or impressive, so that royalists can let go of #Megxit, and those of us who have to write about you don’t have to rehash it over and over again.
Just a small scandal. Maybe Meghan could drive herself somewhere, or open a car door, again.
Harry could consider buying something a little more risqué than a sandwich.
For the love of all things Royal, give me something to work with, here.
No? Fine, #Megxit it is.
By now, you know what the hashtag stands for. Harry and Meghan exited royal duties and moved to Canada, then California, and Kate may or may not be sad about having to take on more than her usual slice of the work.
You probably also know that there’s a royal biography, Finding Freedom: Meghan and Harry and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, said to contain some insight into the couple’s decision to strike out on their own.
You can pre-order it on Amazon if you want to read it.
Marie Claire with the latest.
Coming out from the brilliant minds of royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the biography was reportedly made with the Sussexes’ knowledge—and will offer some important insider details about their lives and decisions. And one of the big subjects? No surprise: It’s their decision to exit the Royal Family as senior royals.
Marvellous.
Megxit wasn’t Meghan’s idea. Harry was involved too. This has been written about at length, but new to the conversation is that it may have been planned before the wedding.
The MailOnline quotes ‘sources’ as revealing that the book discloses that the Duke and Duchess ‘discussed Megxit before they got married’ because Harry was ‘deeply unhappy for a long time’.
Another mysterious “source”. That’s new.
Can we break this down to the crux of the issue?
A couple discussed how they would proceed with their lives after getting married.
Stop the presses. Alert the government.
Whatever will they do next?
