Yesterday, a truck in Jozini, KZN, lost control and ploughed into a crowd of pedestrians and cars.
10 vehicles, including the truck, were involved, with eight people dying and 32 injured. Other reports state that 10 people were killed in the accident.
With the tragedy receiving national coverage, transport minister Fikile Mbalula then announced that the driver had allegedly been under the influence of alcohol, and Jozini police have opened charges of culpable homicide.
The accident, which occurred at 12:18PM, was captured on CCTV footage, and the video shared via TimesLIVE.
