It hasn’t been a good week for Prince Andrew.
The Duke of York has been nailed by US officials who say that he is a far from willing participant in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s history of sexual abuse.
As his ties with Epstein and his inner circle continue to be scrutinised, the case of Madeleine McCann is also back in the news, following new developments into her disappearance from a Portuguese apartment back in 2007.
McCann is thought to be dead, with prime suspect Christian Brückner believed to have murdered her.
During a broadcast two days back, Sky News seemed to get its wired cross, leading to a rather monumental blunder.
Observe:

After Dermot Murnaghan reacted with shock, and the blunder spread across social media, Sky issued a response. This from Yahoo:
Later in the bulletin, Murnaghan issued an apology to viewers.
“In the headlines at the start of this hour, we featured headlines in the wrong order,” he said.
“We included a picture of Prince Andrew in the headline about the investigation into Christian B, the German suspect in the Madeleine McCann case.
“We apologise for this mistake.”
Given how Prince Andrew keeps ducking and diving, and has been unwilling to assist with the Epstein investigation, my sympathies are limited.
While we’re here, let’s cover the latest developments from the McCann case via the Telegraph:
Satellite images taken shortly after Madeleine McCann’s disappearance appear to show the prime suspect’s camper van parked just a mile away from her hotel and are being examined by German police…
Heriberto Janosch González, a Spanish criminologist who works in computer science, was contacted by officers from Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office just hours after he sent them a picture he uncovered this week from early June 2007 — just weeks after the young girl disappeared.
The van, a distinctive white and yellow VW T3 Westfalia from the 1980s appears to be parked near a run-down farmhouse where the suspect lived until late 2006 and could offer clues as to where Christian Brückner went in the aftermath of Madeleine’s abduction.
It has also been reported that an ex-girlfriend of Brückner’s told her he had “a horrible job to do in Praia da Luz” the night before Madeleine disappeared, saying it was “something I have to do, and it will change my life”.
