Today in ‘complete imbeciles who film themselves doing something terrible, share it with others, and then apologise when they’re exposed’, we have Sheldon Cramer.
Sheldon is better known by the name Bobby Greenhash, and is a prominent dagga activist who lives in Richards Bay, and featured in the news back in 2018 when a video of him sharing dagga with a policeman went viral.
He also runs The Bobby Greenhash Foundation, which is, in its own words, “a philanthropic organisation which is fully dedicated to providing help to everybody who requires information, any advice and support in the use of our natural products, medical marijuana, cannabis extracts, traditional medicines and natural healing”.
You would expect someone like that to be a pretty mellow fellow, but judging by the video below, that is not the case.
We are instead dealing with a complete doos (his word), who thinks it’s noble to pick a fight with a TOPS security guard who is just doing his job.
Observe – and also, props on the use of the word ‘anus’:
Who is this anus? Anyone know him?
I’d like to put some money towards the @TOPSatSPAR employees legal fees as this looks like self defense to me. pic.twitter.com/WiR7PHz7ZA— #LoveLivingLife and 73 others (@LuckyGordy) June 4, 2020
There is so much to unpack there.
Should we start with the fact that he speaks to every single person of colour in the video in a racist, and condescending, manner?
Yes – let’s put serious emphasis on that, because it says a great deal about this bloke.
How about the fact that he thinks the entire thing is funny?
I also enjoyed how his pal in the green shorts is so keen to brawl, but then goes full Karen when he gets a cut on his arm.
How about the “I’m a lawyer” quip, when he’s actually speaking out of his arse? Yes, a court judgment earlier in the week declared certain aspects of alert level 5 and alert level 4 lockdown regulations “unconstitutional and invalid”.
However, that same judge, Judge Norman Davis, suspended the declaration of invalidity for 14 days, meaning that alert level 3 regulations remain in place.
A person must wear a cloth face mask or a homemade item that covers the nose and mouth when in a public place, or another appropriate item to cover the nose and mouth.
No person will be allowed to use any form of public transport, or enter a building, place or premises if they do not wear a cloth face mask or a homemade item that covers the nose and mouth when in a public place, or another appropriate item to cover the nose and mouth.
To summarise, the doos was incorrect.
Bobby says the video was leaked, which means that we know he sent it to someone. Let that sink in – he filmed that entire interaction above, and then thought it reflected well on himself and his pal, and shared it with others.
As the backlash grew, he took to his Facebook page to offer this explanation:
Don’t worry, guys – he holds no ill-feeling towards the guard. Move along. Nothing to see here. Peace.
Then, when he realised that just wasn’t going to cut it, he offered this ‘apology’. It’s even more tone-deaf than the Herschel Girls’ High School apology:
That is a truly pathetic attempt at an apology.
Will there be a third attempt? Will the penny finally drop, and Bobby come to realise that he’s been a complete tosser? Will Bones show his face and repent?
Who knows – keep an eye on Bobby’s Facebook profile for now.
I’ll leave you with his cover photo as we part ways…
