I’ve got to hand it to the live adult entertainment industry, they’re finding some pretty creative ways to stay alive during the lockdown.
Some dancers are now working from home via cam shows, while Port Elizabeth recently welcomed South Africa’s pioneering drive-thru strip club, Candy’s Revue Bar.
You can buy snacks, booze, and take in a floor show, all in one sitting.
Taking it a step further, Chivalry Gentlemen’s Lounge in Joburg is bringing the action to you with a first of its kind ‘mobile strip club’.
Here’s IOL:
The exclusive gentleman’s club is based in Primrose, Johannesburg.
Before the national lockdown, entry fee was charged at R100 with opening hours between 11am and 4am the next day. Now that the club has closed its doors, it’s found a way to ease into level 3 with the Chivalry Gentlemen’s Lounge bus.
The bus picks you up and drops you off at your convenience for R2 000 an hour. The price includes two dancers, with a maximum amount of people allowed onboard in line with Covid-19 regulations. And, like all other businesses, physical distancing must be adhered to at all times.
No alcohol will be provided for on-site consumption (but you may order some for takeaway purposes), temperatures are checked before boarding, and everyone must sanitise frequently.
You are also required to wear a mask at all times. If you don’t have your own, or want to really lean into the experience, you can purchase these:
The price isn’t on Facebook, so you’ll have to give them a call or drop them a message if you want one.
Set to the dulcet tones of T-Pain’s ‘I’m In Love With A Stripper’, here’s the promo video, followed by a closer look at the bus:
In the words of the Chivalry Gentlemen’s Lounge: Masks on, clothes off.
