Spotting a Karen in the wild isn’t hard.
She’ll be sporting that Rod Stewart circa 1969 haircut, if not in reality, then in spirit.
You’ll know she’s about to attack when her eyes narrow, and she releases the call of the Karen:
“Can I speak to the manager?”
The Karen meme was birthed out of the stereotype of a middle class white woman who, to use CNN‘s words, acts like she “can get whatever she wants”. Another definition of Karen describes her (or him – men can be Karens, too) as “oblivious to how they treat others”.
