Will we ever hear the end of Harry and Meghan’s Royal Wedding?

Moreover, will we ever hear the end of the alleged feud between Meghan Duchess of Sussex and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge?

You’d think the tabloids would have enough Royal Family drama to deal with now that a new Jeffrey Epstein doccie threatens to destroy the last shred of dignity Prince Andrew was clinging to.

Instead, we have to hear about a supposed argument that took place between Kate and Meghan, before the wedding, over the bridesmaids’ tights.

No need to double back, you read that right. This is a story about stockings.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex had a “row” over whether the young bridesmaids at the royal wedding should wear tights, it has been claimed, as Tatler magazine publishes a profile of “Catherine the Great”.

The society magazine, which claims to have spoken to numerous friends of the Duchess of Cambridge, has described an “incident” ahead of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in which the Duchess of Cambridge is said to have been left in tears.

Kate wanted the kids to wear tights, but Meghan said that it was a hot day and they shouldn’t have to.

If they think that this is high family drama, they’ve clearly never attended a Christmas lunch with all of their relatives.

Anyway, Kensington Palace issued a rebuttal:

“This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication,” a spokesperson said.

The article will fuel the ongoing narrative of Duchess vs Duchess which sources – pointing out that it is possible to praise one without disparaging the other – have previously criticised as sexist.

It is a bit sexist if we’re honest.

Kate has admitted to being a tad emotional before Meghan and Harry’s wedding, but she’d just given birth, so let’s cut her some slack.

Further accounts from sources, some of whom later walked back their comments, include testimonies to Kate’s unhappiness now that Harry and Meghan are off doing their own thing.

“Meghan and Harry have been so selfish,” said one. “William and Catherine really wanted to be hands-on parents and the Sussexes have effectively thrown their three children under a bus.

“There goes their morning school runs as the responsibilities on them now are enormous.”

Another added: “Kate is furious about the larger workload. Of course she’s smiling and dressing appropriately but she doesn’t want this. She feels exhausted and trapped.

Yes, juggling a job and children is hard – ask any working mom who doesn’t have access to around-the-clock childcare.

Oh wait, Will and Kate do have access to around-the-clock childcare.

As for Meghan, she’d better do something more interesting than reading Archie a story soon, or the tabloids are going to implode.
