There’s a great deal to be worried about at the moment, so it’s good to take a second every now and then to remind yourself that amidst the chaos, you can still find moments of pure joy.
Yeah, I know I sound like one of those irritating Facebook quotes that your aunt posts, but I’ve watched the video below twice now and it hit me right in the feels, to quote the kids these days.
Spain has recently eased up on its lockdown restrictions, and while some people are reconnecting with friends and family, Ismael Fernández went straight to his donkey who, up until they could reunite, was being cared for by his sister.
Here’s Mashable:
Just listen to this sweet man’s voice tremble as he repeatedly asks his donkey, “Que pasa?” (That’s “what’s up?” in Spanish.)
…Watch as [Fernández] pats and rubs Baldomera’s head. Listen to the tears start to flow. Then, oh man, the good little burra honks and brays with affection. It’s heart-warming and weirdly moving.
He’s crying, the donkey is crying…it’s a whole thing:
That was genuinely wholesome.
Bless them both.
