Tonight, at 8:30PM, President Cyril Ramaphosa will once again address the nation.
It’s been a while since President Ramaphosa has addressed the nation, and he’s received some criticism on this front over the past two weeks.
According to the Presidency’s official Twitter account, he will focus on “South Africa’s ongoing measures to manage the spread of the coronavirus through the implementation of a risk-adjusted strategy,” which follows on from “a number of meetings of Cabinet and the National Coronavirus Command Council”.
TimesLIVE reports that today’s meeting, chaired by Ramaphosa, “was expected to grapple with making the move to level 3, two weeks after moving to level 4”.
