Sports fans, we suffer together.
Yesterday, we covered what Rassie Erasmus said in the changing room at half-time of the 2019 Rugby World Cup final, with a bonus look at the coach talking about talent versus mindset.
For those who enjoy laughing at the Ozzies, there was also a look at how their cricket team thought they had caught us ball-tampering in the aftermath of Sandpapergate.
Spoiler alert, they hadn’t.
Alright, let’s watch some classic rugby moments. Yes, the video is five minutes long, but the final 60 seconds can be written off.
The start is painful, with Japan beating the Boks at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, but things improve from there:
That ‘AF’ jersey is in honour of Anthony Foley, who played for Ireland and coached Munster. The Maori All Black side placed the jersey on the halfway line before performing the haka ahead of their clash with Munster in 2016. The jersey was then given to Foley’s son.
The same YouTube channel did a video titled ‘Is Owen Farrell the most hated man in rugby?’, but he’s suffered enough, so we won’t plonk it here.
Keen to kill more time? Well, how about the Springboks discussing our first-ever Rugby World Cup final try, dotted down by Makazole Mapimpi, following the least selfish pass of all time…
Rumour has it Lukhanyo Am is still waiting for that high five from Mapimpi.
All of these videos are just to tide us over until Chasing the Sun is released in August, so hang in there, sports fans.
