Sadly, we will probably never see Oasis reunited, as the Gallagher brothers continue to taunt and berate one another on social media.
I’m sure fans of the band have already watched Supersonic, the doccie that chronicles their meteoric rise, but lockdown may be the perfect time to revisit that one.
It’s not like you’ve got much else to do between 8PM and 5AM, anyway.
The erosion of the relationship between Liam and Noel means we won’t be seeing any new tracks, but the latter did manage to find a previously unreleased demo called ‘Don’t Stop…’ on an unmarked CD at home.
Showing your age there, Noel.
More from Pitchfork:
“As far as I’m aware there is only one version of this tune ‘out there’ from an Oasis soundcheck in Hong Kong about 15 years ago?” he wrote. “I’m not sure whether the soundcheck version pre-dates the demo as there’s no date on the CD.”
Here’s the Instagram post that shared the good news:
Keen to give it a listen? Off you go:
At least during lockdown, you won’t be forced to listen to someone strumming out the first few chords around the fire, a la ‘Wonderwall’.
A reminder that the Guardian recently ranked Oasis’ best tracks, in order, and Wonderwall only came in at 11th.
Lovely.
