The exact origins of Easter are unknown, but some think the word ‘Easter’ is taken from the Teutonic goddess of fertility and spring – Eostre.
For Christians, it’s associated with the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
For the rest of us, it’s an excuse to take a break from work and eat more chocolate than is reasonable to consume, while the kids run around the yard collecting eggs.
Easter egg hunts aren’t just for kids, though. There’s an adult version happening online and you’re going to want to get in on it. Track down all of the eggs, you could win an excellent prize.
Fitch & Leedes, those iconic purveyors of superb craft mixers, have hidden away four different coloured eggs on their various social media platforms.
If you find all four, you could win one of four R500 Takealot vouchers.
