Anybody who has watched Tiger King knows that Joe Exotic suffers from delusions of grandeur.
After all, a man with a massively inflated sense of self-worth, terrible hair, multiple marriages, and no idea what he’s doing could never end up America’s president, right?
Joe’s current husband, Dillon Passage, says that the star of the show is currently in isolation in prison amid the coronavirus pandemic, having been transferred to FMC Fort Worth in Texas, a medical centre in the Federal Bureau of Prisons system.
Yes, Dillon and Joe are still together – more on that here.
So, who would Joe pick to play himself in a movie? Below from the Guardian:
[He] has named Brad Pitt or David Spade as his preferred actors to play him in any future film adaptation.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, one of the series’ directors, Rebecca Chaiklin, said that Exotic (AKA Joseph Maldonado-Passage), who is currently serving a 22-year sentence in a Texas prison for attempting murder for hire, suggested the pair – though he referred to Spade as “Joe Dirt”, his character from the 2001 comedy described by the late critic Roger Ebert as a “low-rent Forrest Gump”.
Props for picking David Spade, or ‘Joe Dirt’, because that’s pretty on the money. Brad might be a bit of a stretch, though:
Leaning more to the right on this one – sorry, pal.
Dillon Passage also says that his husband has yet to see the seven-part series that has taken the world by storm, but that he’s loving the emails flooding his inbox.
