Gone are the days of Wolverine for Hugh Jackman.
The actor has come a long way since shooting adamantium claws out of knuckles while wearing questionable facial hair prosthetics.
His new film, coming soon to HBO, looks like a riot.
Bad Education – not to be confused with the British show of the same name – is based on the true story of one of America’s biggest education scandals.
IndieWire with more:
Frank Tassone (Jackman), a Long Island school superintendent, and district official Pam Gluckin (Allison Janney) are accused of stealing hundreds of thousands from the district’s budget.
Though their school district is on the up and up the scandal threatens to ruin everything the duo have built, spurring Jackman’s character to do everything in his power to maintain order and stop the story from becoming public.
Get ready for comedy, drama and fast-paced storytelling from screenwriter Mike Makowsky, who was a student at the school when the real-life events played out.
Check out the trailer:
The film will be released on HBO on April 25, 2020.
