Every politician and political party has its own set of moron supporters.
That being said, there’s something special about President Donald Trump’s supporters, who engage in the sort of mental gymnastics that Olympic gold medallists would be proud of.
Even now, the man who was happily calling the coronavirus a hoax a few weeks back is still defended to the hilt by MAGA-cap wearing fans, with Trump’s joke that he could shoot a man on New York’s Fifth Avenue and not lose support really ringing true.
Trevor Noah and his pals at The Daily Show have always enjoyed poking fun at those supporters, who really do make it easy, and Jordan Klepper is perhaps the most skilled at these showdowns.
