The United Kingdom (along with many other nations) is starting to feel the pressure of the COVID-19 pandemic. The streets of London, usually buzzing with people, are empty.
The Royal Family hasn’t said much about the pandemic this far. I reckon they’re also self-isolating. The Queen is, after all, 92-years-old and the virus tends to effect the elderly more drastically than the younger generation. Prince Philip has reached that point where he’s basically biltong.
In light of all of this, Prince William stepped up to the plate, reports Sky News.
William appealed to the UK to support National Emergency Trust (NET), stand together and help those who are most vulnerable:
William helped set up the NET last year. At the launch of the trust, he spoke about the “dreaded day” that the trust would be needed.
Kudos to William for planning for the future.
Any words of comfort during the pandemic are more than welcome.
