Who is the fairest stepper of them all?
That was the question posed by YouTube channel Die Hard Rugby in a recent video that shows off some of the finest footwork from Cheslin Kolbe and Kalyn Ponga.
I’m sure you’re familiar with Kolbe, who recently turned out at flyhalf for Toulouse and remains a recurring image in Owen Farrell’s nightmares.
Ponga, on the other hand, is a New Zealander who plays for the Newcastle Knights in Australia’s NRL, a rugby league competition.
Some may say this is a Messi / Ronaldo situation, and that we should enjoy them both without arguing over who is better (Messi, obviously), but let’s go the highlights reel before any debate:

Some in the comments section stated that they would love to see Ponga switch to rugby union, and they may get their wish.
A Rugby Pass article published last week says his latest Knights contract includes a clause to jump to the 15-man code in the final year of his contract, to let him chase his childhood dream of representing the All Blacks at the 2023 World Cup in France.
Here’s hoping Cheslin and him cross paths in the final, and our man shows him who’s boss.
