Fresh off the political storm that was Brexit, Britain has been battling bad weather of a different kind.
Storm Dennis has ushered in harsh winds, urgent flood warnings, and proposed safety measures from the government.
More than a month’s worth of rain has fallen in parts of the UK in just 48 hours.
Flights have been delayed as the severe conditions of the storm are expected to continue into the week.
For one pilot, however, landing at Heathrow Airport was his only option.
Over to Express:
Horrifying footage has emerged of a passenger plane (Airbus A380) just barely avoiding disaster during a difficult landing. An Etihad Airways plane struggled to land at Heathrow Airport due to the strong winds of Storm Dennis but the quick thinking of the pilot resulted in a safe landing.
Gripping stuff:
The person talking in the background clearly missed his calling as a sports commentator.
Whoever that pilot is, I’ll fly with him any day.
