Not that I’ve spent hours scouring through lists, but there is no shortage of podcasts offering advice and insight for mothers.
I tend to dabble more in the true-crime genre, in case you were wondering, although I mix it up from time to time.
Fans of Giovanna Fletcher’s book, Happy Mum Happy Baby, will probably know that she has a podcast of the same name, where she continues the conversation about motherhood.
She managed to land quite a coveted guest on her most recent podcast – none other than Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Also known as the one who hasn’t buggered off to North America.
Happy Mum Happy Baby described the podcast as follows:
In this special episode, The Duchess of Cambridge joins Giovanna Fletcher to talk about the importance of the early years in her first ever podcast interview. Having met in Birmingham at the launch of her landmark survey ‘5 Big Questions on the Under Fives’, they sat down after a joint visit to LEYF Stockwell Gardens Nursery to talk about the work that has built up to this landmark survey and some of their shared experiences as mothers to three children.
I would have to be paid a small fortune to listen to this, but I will leave you to your own devices.

Too long, or couldn’t be bothered? Vanity Fair with some of the talking points:
“I had an amazing granny who devoted a lot of time to us, playing with us, doing arts and crafts and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us, and I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences that she gave us at the time into the experiences that I give my children now,” she reveals.
She also says that she spends as much time outside as possible with her children explaining. “As children we spent a lot of time outside, and it’s something I’m really passionate about. I think it’s so great for physical and mental well-being, and laying [developmental] foundations. It’s such a great environment to spend time in, building those quality relationships without the distractions of ‘I’ve got to cook’ and ‘I’ve got to do this.’ And actually, it’s so simple.”
No need to cook when you have a squadron of helpers on hand, right?
To be fair, Kate seems like a decent person, which is far more than can be said for some of the older members of the Royal Family.
Andrew, here’s looking at you.
