Maybe it’s been weeks, or months, or even years of slogging through awkward Tinder dates.
You’ve been Elsa’d, Jekylled, ghosted, fleabagged, whelmed and orbited.
But all of that is over now, and you’ve finally rounded someone up to ‘the one’.
Now what?
The first few months of a new relationship are full of that ‘new relationship energy’ that drives you to want to spend as much time with your partner, in and out of the bedroom, as you can.
Then, as things settle down, and you move on to the next phase of your relationship, some of the passion can die down. By the time you’re living together, merging busy lives and/or navigating kids, sex can often take a back seat to everything else.
That’s where Lover comes in. It’s a recently launched app that helps couples to get that spark back, by tackling particular issues like low libido, boredom, or dissatisfaction in the bedroom.
The app has apparently received notable funding from “the founder of Tinder” (according to Mashable), but we’re unsure which founder it is.
It’s probably Sean Rad, but it could also be Jonathan Badeen, Justin Mateen, Joe Munoz, Dinesh Moorjani, or Whitney Wolfe.
Whitney left Tinder in 2014, to atone for her sins, by starting Bumble.
Whoever it is, they obviously want to help out, once their original app has paired you up.
According to Lover’s landing page, here’s how it works:
Goals
The app boasts hours of activities covering everything from low desire to difficulty reaching orgasm. When you start using the app, you’ll be asked to choose a ‘goal’, following which the app creates a course for you and your partner based on decades of scientific research.
Lover Type
The app uses a sexual profiling tool to figure out what kind of lover you are, giving you insight into everything from your turn-ons, to your sexual style.
Turn Ons
Do you like to pour custard on your toes? Dance around naked in a sprinkler? Engage in extended staring contests with your house plants? Whatever you’re into, the app will help you share your hidden desires and turn-ons. You’ll swipe through hundreds of options, and match on the things that you share with your partner. It’s like Tinder for turn-ons, and a way to discover what you’re both desperate to try out.
If any or all of this sounds good, you can download the app here.
Nowadays we meet each other through apps, so it makes sense that there are apps now designed to keep us together.
Whatever your relationship status, good luck getting down.
