South Africans and road rage go together like SONA and the EFF causing a stink.
In other words, you’ve seen it before, and you’ll see it again.
We should note the difference in weapons between a Jozi street brawl (swords) and a Cape Town street brawl (broomsticks), although the latter may have been more out of necessity than design.
The video below was shared to Facebook by Divan Chimp Loots, and he has dubbed one of the men a ‘Municipal Ninja’.
Cape Town Etc spoke with Loots about what went down:
…the incident took place on Main Road in Strand.
“Me and a mate went for a drive in my old VW bus and we came across this. The Coct [City of Cape Town] truck was side-swiped by the Corsa by accident. Then they immediately started to attack the City workers,” says Loots…
“It went on for very long but I had to stop the video and help. As those people in the Corsa might have attacked the woman,” Loots continues.
We are a nation with serious anger management issues.
Here’s Loots’ video, which was uploaded to Facebook last Friday, February 7:
That municipal worker does know how to wield a broomstick. NASA would be proud.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the City of Cape Town’s workers, who have to put up with residents like those in the Corsa.
