Siri, show me the most Wes Anderson trailer ever.
Naturally, that means it must feature Bill Murray, Owen Wilson (wooooow), and, more recently, Timothée Chalamet.
All three are present.
The trailer for The French Dispatch dropped yesterday, and fans around the world frothed at the mouth in anticipation of Anderson’s 10th directorial effort.
Mashable to do the honours:
In a French city, far, far away, an expat journalist (Bill Murray) assembled the finest reporters he knew to write about politics, world news, and stories of the day for an international magazine as an offshoot to The Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun, an American newspaper.
Directed by Wes Anderson, the highly stylized The French Dispatch actualizes each of the stories featured in the magazine’s final issue. Star reporters include Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Elisabeth Moss, Adrien Brody, Timothée Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Stephen Park, and Owen Wilson — just to name a few.
This one is sure to feature a multitude of brief celeb cameos, because everyone wants to pop up in a Wes Anderson film at some stage in their career.
Go on, then:
Yup, peak Wes.
The French Dispatch hits theatres on July 24.
