I find Fridays are the most hopeful days.
The entire weekend awaits, you haven’t yet woken up with a lingering sense of shame and a cracked phone screen after a few too many, and you get to leave the office early.
You don’t get to leave the office early? Shame.
In the spirit of dreaming, and having once again bought lottery tickets, we decided to look at the most expensive Cape Town property listed on Property24.
Even if I crack tomorrow’s Lotto draw, I’m going to end up around R150 million short of the R172,5 million needed to snap up this whopper on Clifton’s Nettleton Road.
You may recognise this five-bedroom property, which has been on the market since August 2017, with this write-up:
Positioned in prestigious Nettleton Road designed by world renowned architecture firm SAOTA, this luxury home offers spectacular views of Clifton.
Generous double volume open-plan entertainment area leading onto terrace and rim-flow pool. Enjoy the tranquility of the courtyard mountain garden.
Family room, cinema room and gym. Five spacious bedrooms all en-suite. Two staff accommodations, fully automated curtains and blinds, air-conditioning throughout and four garages.
I’ve seen worse views, and you’re also doing alright out of the bedroom window:
Fancy a splash?
That will do just fine, thanks.
Here’s a fun game to play – what would my bond be if I didn’t put a cent down and went for the 20-year option?
Classic.
For those who want an uninterrupted ocean view, but wouldn’t mind saving a chunk of change, there’s this R20 million gem in St James.
Sure, you don’t get to tell people you live in Nettleton Road, darling, but it ticks the boxes.
