I hate parallel parking.
It’s kind of like when you throw a crumpled up piece of paper straight into the bin when nobody is watching, and then you try and repeat it with a captive audience and fail miserably.
Science* has shown that there is a direct correlation between the number of people watching a parallel parking attempt and the likelihood of it failing.
(*No such study has been conducted, but I stand by my statement.)
There is even more pressure when you’re driving a Cape Town Traffic Services branded vehicle, with this wonderfully awkward video being filmed last week in Sea Point.
It’s tough not to wince, and credit to Ferdi Krumm, who uploaded the video and we assume filmed it, for remaining so stoic throughout:
Well, we got there in the end.
I would love to see a hill start by this driver, just for gees.
