Apparently, the fifth time wasn’t the charm.
I mean, Pamela Anderson’s split from John Peters, just 12 days after the couple tied the knot, has nothing on Nicolas Cage’s record four-day marriage to makeup artist Erika Koike, but he’s in a league of his own.
Rather, Anderson, who has been married five times, set a new personal record.
Before we go into the details of the recent split, let’s pop on over to Metro for a trip through Anderson’s rocky relationship history.
Tommy Lee (1995-1998)
Their nuptials came as a surprise, as Pamela had only known Tommy for just 96 hours. Still, the couple went on to welcome to sons, Brandon Thomas Lee and Dylan Jagger Lee, born in June 1996 and December 1997 respectively.
They divorced the following year.
Kid Rock (2001-2006)
The pair got engaged in 2002 but they briefly split in 2003. Cupid drew them back together in 2006 when they married on a yacht in St Tropez, France that July.
However, it was a whirlwind reunion as Pamela announced she had sadly miscarried a baby and subsequently filed for divorce from Kid Rock 17 days later citing irreconcilable differences.
Rick Salomon (2007-2015)
Love struck again for Pamela when she tied the knot with poker player Rick Salomon in October 2007 at The Mirage in Las Vegas. It was short-lived as the newlyweds filed to have the nuptials annulled two months later in December before it was granted in 2008.
Clearly, there was unfinished business as Pam and Rick had a second go and reconciled in 2013 before marrying for the second time in January 2014.
Which brings us to John Peters (2020-2020).
The couple announced their surprise wedding to The Hollywood Reporter, with Jon explaining: ‘Pamela has never seen her full potential as an artist. She has yet to shine in a real way. There is much more to her than meets the eye, or I wouldn’t love her so much.
Pamela even wrote a poem. It was all rather odd, and slightly uncomfortable.
The two of them then headed off on honeymoon, and that was the end of it. Just a few days later, she announced their split.
‘I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union. We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. ‘Life is a journey and love is a process.
With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalisation of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy.’
Sure thing, Pamela. I guess it’s on to husband number six.
I hear Julian Assange is still available…
