Whenever I see a two-for-one burger special, I’m torn between wanting to eat both myself and taking along a partner in crime.
Eating a burger isn’t just about the eating of the burger(s), though.
I have to factor in the view, which should always include a healthy dose of people watching, a favourite pastime of many Capetonians.
Just when you think you’ve seen the shortest pair of Daisy Dukes possible (those denim cutoff shorts that are everywhere), along comes someone else to set a new benchmark.
Then there’s the rest of the view where, if you’re doing it right, you’ll find palm trees, the beach, the ocean and maybe a mountain or two.
Combine all of the above, and a seriously tasty range of burgers to choose from, and it’s easy to see why the Tuesday Two-For-One burger special at Café Caprice is such a hit.
Every Tuesday, from 12:30PM through until the kitchen closes, you’re getting two for the price of one.
As somebody who has tried every single burger on the menu, I can confirm it’s impossible to go wrong.
Have a full look around the menu here, but let’s focus on those burgers:
Yeah, I’ve even dabbled in the Vegan Burger. It was delicious, and after I finished I had a strong urge to join the drum circle on Camps Bay beach.
There are worse ways to spend an evening.
If you’re the type who stays in during the week, but likes to cut a little loose on the weekend, Café Caprice also has a ‘Bubbly and Friesday’ special, which runs every Friday from 4PM.
For R80, you get a glass of bubbly and a serving of skinny fries, or R280 gets you a bottle of bubbly and skinny fries.
The cracking sunset and fine company are on the house.
Then all that’s left to do is to make your reservation (mail reservations@cafecaprice.co.za or ring 021 438 8315) and you’re good to go.
Enjoy yourself, world champion.
